The Cry of a Zambian Producer: Kademo Opens Up About The Dake Side Of The Indurstry.

Kademo Opens Up About The Dark Side Of The Indurstry, behind the hits, behind the studio sessions, and behind the success stories of many Zambian artists stands a producer who now feels forgotten. In a deeply emotional interview on Yatu Vibes’ PMC platform, producer Kademo pulled back the curtain on the painful reality he has been living through after losing both his father and brother in the same year.

What hurts even more, according to him, is how the same industry he helped build seemed absent when he needed support the most. Kademo revealed that he has worked with countless musicians, sometimes offering his talent for free, sometimes agreeing to deals that never honored promised royalties, all in the name of pushing Zambian music forward. But when tragedy struck his own life, many of those same people failed to show up.

The experience has clearly changed him. Kademo openly admitted he has reached a point where he no longer feels motivated to go the extra mile for artists, saying he has grown tired of being the one always giving while receiving little in return. For him, music became both therapy and escape, but also a painful reminder of how the industry often forgets its behind-the-scenes heroes.

The conversation goes beyond music fame and industry drama. It exposes the emotional toll creators carry silently while helping others shine. Kademo’s story is a reminder that sometimes, the people creating the soundtracks to our lives are fighting battles we never see.
